The Lotus 72 is one of the most recognizable formula F1 racecars. At the time of its inception (around 1970), it was one of the most technologically advanced Formula F1 racecars. Much of the credit for leading the innovation is credited to C. Chapman and M. Philippe, who pretty much kept a steady pace of development for much of the late sixties and well into the seventies. This Lotus 72 #6 was driven by Herbert Müller at the 1971 Monza Grand Prix.
